LG India is set to launch a new smartphone in the market. The company has now started to send media invites for an event on Wednesday, September 27. The event will be happening alongside India Mobile Congress 2017 which is also beginning on the same day.
As far as we know LG will likely introduce a new K-Series smartphone. The launch invite that LG has sent comes with a letter "K" only suggesting that the company will unveil a new K-Series smartphone or smartphones. As per speculations, LG might take the wraps off its new K3 or K4 smartphone on the said day.
If you recall, LG, earlier this year at CES 2017 unveiled four new K-Series smartphones globally. However, till now only two have arrived in India. The two smartphones are LG K8 and LG K10 (2017) editions. Going by what the invite has to say, LG could definitely bring LG K3 or LG K4 or both to the Indian market. We just have to wait few more days. Apart from that, the invite says that Kim Ki Wang Managing Director, LG Electronics India will be present during the event.
However, let's talk about some of the features and specifications of the upcoming smartphones. We already have the details as it was announced at CES 2017.
LG K3 (2017) comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display. The handset is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 SoC. The smartphone offers 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
As for the cameras, LG K3 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device is backed by a 2100mAh removable battery and it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and Micro-USB. LG K3 (2017). The smartphone measures 133.9x69.7x9.4mm and weighs 132 grams. It will be available in Metallic Titan as well as Pink Gold colors.
Coming to LG K4 (2017), the smartphone comes with a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display with a pixel density of 196ppi. LG K4 (2017) is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 MSM8909 SoC which is paired with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The handset offers 8GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The device sports a 5-megapixel camera both at the front and the rear. LG K4 (2017) is backed by a 2500mAh removable battery and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
Connectivity options on the handset include 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.1, and Micro-USB. The LG K4 (2017) measures 144.7x72.6x7.9mm and weighs 135 grams. It will be available in Titan and Black colors.
