New York Giants’ Mark Herzlich, New Jersey Devils’ Hugh Weber & Violence Prevention Experts Coming to Newark to Call on Men to Use their Influence to Promote Healthy, Respectful Manhood and Prevent Violence & Discrimination

NEWARK, N.J.--()--A CALL TO MEN, a violence prevention organization and leading voice on manhood, male socialization and its intersection with violence, and preventing violence against all women and girls, will host Your Influence – Your Platform in Newark, NJ, this week.

WHAT: Your Influence – Your Platform is an invitation to men to promote healthy, respectful manhood, and prevent violence and discrimination against all women and girls. Embracing and promoting a healthy, respectful manhood prevents violence against women, sexual assault and harassment, trafficking, bullying, discrimination and other social ills.

Leaders from business, professional sports, media, human service organizations and advocacy groups will convene to discuss how the Man Box restricts men and prevents them from being their authentic selves; how to use their influence and platform to spur positive social change in their home, workplace and community; and how they can help prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, sex trafficking and bullying.
