Actor Prabhas has become the hot property of Indian cinema following the unprecedented success of Baahubali: The Conclusion. The actor who is currently busy shooting for his trilingual film Saaho, took off some time from his busy schedule to attend the pre-release function of Sharwanand’s upcoming film Mahanubhavudu on Sunday.

Prabhas was at his witty best as he presented Sharwanand a kit containing hand sanitizer, a pair of surgical gloves, face mask and other things, given that Sharwanand plays a character who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Prabhas, who heaped praises on Sharwanand, declared him as the favourite actor of his family. “When we were looking for lead actors for Run Raja Run, Vamsi suggested Sarwanand’s name to me. When I told Sharwa that he has not done a full-blown commercial entertainer before, he replied saying let’s try. If you are happy, let’s go further. I liked that attitude of his,” said the Baahubai star. “Sharwa is like a brother to me.”

Run Raja Run was produced by Pramod Uppalapati (Prabhas’s elder brother) and Vamsi Krishna Reddy under the banner UV Creations. The film was directed by Sujeeth, who is also directing Prabhas’s forthcoming film Saaho.

“I really like Maruthi’s Prema Katha Chitram. He also entertained us with Bhale Bhale Magadivoy. I hope this movie will be better than his previous movies. The whole crew is very confident about the film. I think the movie will become a blockbuster,” Prabhas said.

Mahanubhavudu is a romantic comedy helmed by Maruthi Dasari for UV Creations banner. It has Mehreen Pirzad playing the female lead and is set to hit the screens this Friday, targeting the pooja holiday.
