A group of students of PMV Polytechnic, Mathura, staged a protest outside the Govind Nagar police station, seeking immediate arrest of those involved in an attack on three students.
They alleged that local students attacked the three belonging to eastern Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
"So far no arrest has been made in the case. The culprits will be nabbed soon. Hooliganism will not be tolerated," deputy superintendent of police Rakesh Vashistha said.
The protesting students alleged that the college administration did not act on their complaints earlier.
The protest was withdrawn after an FIR was lodged against around 24 local students.
