The year 1997 saw Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan donning the look of an old nanny in Chachi 420. The film was directed by Haasan himself and stars Haasan, Tabu, Amrish Puri and the Dangal actress Fatima Sana Shaikh. The very next year, in 1998, Karan Johar arrived in Bollywood with his film, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. While the film was around the love triangle between Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherji; it was Sana Saeed's phenomenal performance as Shah Rukh's daughter that held the story together.
