Man arrested for possessing ganja from Calangute fish market

Police today arrested a man for possessing ganja valued at Rs 30,000 from fish market in Calangute.

Mahabir Abdul Mondal (32), a native of Balurghat, Dinajpur in was found in possession of ganja weighing 290 grams worth Rs 30,000, said police.


"The raid was conducted following information that the accused is engaged in selling drugs to tourists in Calangute," Police Inspector Jivba Dalvi said.

The accused has been charged under provisions of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act.
