Two gamblers for two hours drove around with a body in their car, looking for a place to dump it. The duo was disappointed with the presence of police and pedestrian movement and finally decided to take a chance and dump it in the open field in Panipat. The body which they carried along with them was of Gaurav Khera’s, a west Delhi trader who allegedly owed the duo Rs 16 lakh. Karandeep and Manpreet dumped the car at Sonipat, 50 km from where they had dumped the corpse.
The police nabbed both of them from west Delhi after finding the abandoned car with bloodstains in the back seat. DCP (west) Vijay Kumar said both the alleged culprits have been arrested and further investigation is underway. It was during the probe the police found out that the vehicle which was abandoned is owned by Khera. The family initially filed a complaint that he was missing.
