Novak Djokovic cherishes 12 years of togetherness with wife Jelena Djokovic

Novak Djokovic, 12-time Grand Slam Champion, posted a picture of himself with wife Jelena Djokovic on his Instagram account, cherishing their 12-years of togetherness. He captioned the picture,”12 years together with my love. Loving every minute of it!” The couple has been dating since 2005 and tied the knot in July 2014. The couple is blessed with two kids.

Jelena has been a constant supporter for Novak on the court and she also runs the Novak Djokovic Foundation in Serbia which provides educational grants for children.

Four-time Wimbledon Champion is currently recovering from a right elbow injury, which forced him to retire in the quarterfinal match against Tomas Berdych at Wimbledon this year. Novak was in remarkable form in 2015 when he won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open in the same year.

The Serbian continued his form in 2016 when he won the Australian Open and French Open and completed his Career slam with the title at Roland Garros.

He also reached the US Open final in 2016 but lost to Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland. Since making his debut at the 2005 Australian Open, Novak featured in consecutive 51 Grand Slam tournaments, but the consistency came to a halt after he opted out of this year’s US Open.

Novak remained the number one player in ATP rankings for the longest time in his career, from July 2014 till November 2016, continuously for 223 weeks. But after his dip in form due to the elbow injury, he has slipped to sixth in the rankings.

Six-time Australian Open Champion is confident of making a comeback next year in 2018 and Tennis legend Andre Agassi will continue to coach him ahead of the 2018 season.
