Srinagar: The Army has shot dead a terrorist and is engaging three to four of them in a forest in north Kashmir's Uri sector, officials said. A heavy gunfight started after the Army saw a group of terrorists moving in the forest at Kalgai village near the Line of Control.
The terrorists are believed to be trapped now, Army sources said, adding the operation started at 10:30 last night and the first shots were fired early morning today.
The area has been cordoned off and an operation against the terrorists is underway. Firing is going on.
