In contrast to the claims made by self-styled godman Kaushalendra Prapannacharya Falahari Maharaj, who was arrested over the weekend for allegedly raping a law intern, his medical examination has established that he is not impotent, the Alwar police said on Sunday.
The police also claimed to have a foolproof case against the accused. A CD allegedly related to the incident has also been seized from the room of the accused.
On Friday, the 60-year-old self-styled godman claimed that he was impotent. However, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Paras Jain said the medical examination of Falahari Maharaj at a civil hospital in Alwar on Saturday confirmed that he was not impotent.
CDs seized
Mr. Jain claimed the police had adequate scientific and circumstantial evidence to prove the allegations made by the woman.
Inspector Seeshram Meena, the Station House Officer of Aravali Vihar police station, said 108 CDs and a laptop were seized from the room of Falahari Maharaj. Several anklets and toe-rings were also seized from the room, he added.
