Kovalam beaches cleaned up

A stretch of the beach in Kovalam being cleaned up as part of the Swachchta Hi Seva initiative | EXPRESS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The District Tourism Promotion Council  (DTPC), the District Suchithwa Mission and the Kerala University NSS unit jointly cleaned up the beaches in Kovalam as part of ‘Swachchata Hi Seva’ initiative.

Around 250 NSS volunteers participated in the clean-up intitiative on four beaches in Kovalam. MLA M Vincent inaugurated the programme.

Thiruvananthapuram Corporation health standing committee chairman K Sreekumar, District Suchithwa Mission assistant coordinator Harikrishanan, NSS district coordinator Dr Shaji, South Kerala Hoteliers’ Forum secretary Manoj and Kerala Hotel and Restaurant Association Patron Sudhiesh Kumar and DTPC secretary Prasanth TV were present.
