HYDERABAD: In what could be seen as another “key” development towards unity of opposition parties against TRS government in the run-up to the 2019 polls, TDP has extended support to CPI’s proposed Bus Yatra, Poru Baata, to be organised from Oct 6 to Dec 3 across the state to expose the alleged failures of the state government. “We will take part in the public meeting to be organised on Oct 6 at Jangaon by the CPI on the occasion of launching of its Yatra. We are ready to join hands with all opposition parties to fight against the undemocratic policies of state government,” TDP TS unit working president L Ramana announced on Friday.
In the wake of TDP and Congress announcing their support to All India Trade Union Congress, affiliated to the CPI in the Singareni employees’ polls, the Left Party resolved to undertake joint agitations against the state government policies with help of TDP and Congress. To chalk out an action plan in this regard, CPI TS unit secretary Chada Venkat Reddy visited TDP headquarters here. After interacting with TDP leaders such as L Ramana, A Revanth Reddy, Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy and others, Venkat Reddy told mediapersons that their party would organise a Bus Yatra from October 6 to December 3 across the state.
