Man gets into stationary bus, hangs himself from handrail

A 38-year-old man reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the handrail in a stationary private near the Magadi Road metro railway station, West Bengaluru, on Friday.

Praveen, of Bagalagunte, sneaked into the bus of Sachin Travels and hanged himself with a towel. The bus was parked there for repair. The suicide emerged around 4 pm when local residents saw him hanging and called the police.

Police said it was not clear what drove Praveen to suicide as they didn't find a death note. Praveen worked as a bus driver with another travel operator. He went into depression and stopped going to work after his wife died around four months ago, the police added.
