The 33-year-old actor stars in the titular role in the Amit Masurkar-directed movie who essays the role of an earnest government clerk who wants to conduct a free and fair election in a conflict-hit area of Chhattisgarh. Following the achievement, the national award-winning said that the line separating mainstream and independent cinema is already diminishing.The film is not centric to the lead actor as all the characters in the film have been written substantially to build the story. The film shows the real issues of insurgency-hit Chhattisgarh area. The film is no doubt hard-hitting and political satire is used so well to hit its audience in the right cord. The movie is sharp and narrates a dark comedy with a message which you cannot show a blind eye to. After being selected as India’s official entry for the Oscars 2018, it is sure that the box office collection is going to be affected for good. Whether it wins the Oscars scheduled for March 4, 2018 in Los Angeles will be something to watch out for.
