Indore: On the diamond jubilee of Quit India Movement an exhibition showcasing country’s freedom struggle and also vision about New India to be achieved in 2022 would be inaugurated, on Saturday. Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Minister of State for Women and Child Devlopment Dr Virendra Kumar would inaugurate the exhibition at Gandhi Hall at noon, which would remained continued till September 27 and would also remain opened from 11 am to 9 pm.
The exhibition is going to be held jointly by the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry of Government of India and Indian Oil Corporation. They are organising such exhibitions in 39 cities of the country. On the side lines of the exhibition, a seminar would also be organised on the ‘New India-we will do it.’
The exhibition would showcase country’s freedom struggle movement from 1857 to 1947, including the first independence struggle of 1857, Champaran Satyagraha, Non-Cooperation movement, Dandai March and Quit India Movement etc. Out of them, 5 years period of independence struggle from 1942 to 1947 would be specially highlighted.
In the exhibition there would be a seprate section on ‘Achievement through pledges (Sankalp se Siddhi), a vision floated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under which stress would be laid on corruption, poverty, dirty, communalism, terrorism and casteism. Several cultural programes would also be organized on daily basis in the evening.
