Nishitha Degree College in association with Tally Education Private Limited (TEPL) organised a seminar on Goods and Services Tax (GST) for its students and faculty members on the campus here on Friday.
TEPL CEO Manish Chowdary attended as chief guest and the event was coordinated by XLNC, an authorised master tally assessment partner based in Hyderabad. It was an interactive session conducted by the CEO himself where over 200 students and faculty members were enlightened about the new GST regime.
He informed them about the vital role of technology in the GST era making computerised accounting a prerequisite for business for smooth transition to the new tax era.
Since the announcement of the implementation of GST last year, the Tally Education Private Ltd and its parent firm Tally Solutions Private Limited have organised various awareness seminars on GST across the country covering businesses, accountants, students and faculty members, thus reaching out to more than two lakh individuals, he said. He said the Tally Education was committed to enabling students, academics, unemployed youth and employees to shift to the new regime smoothly. “Through various certificate courses offered through our ecosystem of almost 700 training partners, the candidates have access to trained faculty, proper coursework and an online certification conducted directly by us in addition to access to jobs from our employer system. The GST is not just a tax reform, but also a business reform and everyone needs to educate themselves on its concepts and implications for their business. We intend to enable all colleges to allow their students to be benefited from our certifications,” he said.
Regional manager Jiji Kumar and regional training partner (TEPC) Venugopal, Nishitha Degree College principal G. Jnaneswar also spoke.
