Farmer hacked to death over land dispute in Bhachau
tnn | Sep 24, 2017, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A farmer was hacked to death in Rampar village of Bhachau taluka of Kutch over a land dispute on Friday night. Police identified the deceased as Ramesh Manaka (40), brother of Rampar village sarpanch. Police have zeroed down on five suspects in the case.
"We have found the involvement of Ashok Manaka and Lakhman Manaka, who along with their three accomplices had attacked Ramesh. Our preliminary investigation has revealed that Ramesh had a long pending dispute with Ashok over the boundary of his farm, for which they both fought frequently," said an official from Samakhiyali police station.
"That apart, two years ago Ramesh and his brothers had beaten up Lakhman. Both Ashok and Lakhman had been harbouring grudge against Ramesh and had decided to bump him off," added the police official.
