Mumbai: Married five months ago, city couple commits ‘suicide’

A couple, who got married five months ago, allegedly committed suicide at Malwani Residence on Friday night. Dhanraj Nai (24) and Kajal Nai (19) were found hanging in their tenement in the New Collector’s compound around 10 pm by their family members.

The couple had used a saree to hang themselves. According to police, there was no suicide note left behind. An officer from the local police station where an FIR has been registered said Dhanraj was under stress, as he was not getting a job for the past four months and the couple were facing financial crisis. Dhanraj’s relatives had tried to counsel him, said the police.
