Gurugram DC assures parents of Ryan students about security measures

Hours after three accused were sent to one-day (CBI) custody in connection with Pradyuman Case, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurugram Vijay Pratap stated that a meeting concerning security concerns were discussed with parents and the school will implement safety measures which will necessarily be followed.

The accused were earlier arrested by Police following the of Pradyuman Thakur on September 8.

Speaking to the reporters here, Pratap said "Today we had a meeting with the parents of the students as they were worried about the security of their children. We have addressed their security concerns and apprised them of the proposed security measures, which the school will follow. They are pleased with all that we discussed and security measures that will be implemented".

Earlier in the day, three accused, including a bus conductor, were sent to one-day custody in connection with of a seven-year-old student of Gurugram's Ryan International School.

A 12-member Central Forensic Science Laboratory team and three-member team visited to the school as they began the inquiry into the case.

The on Friday registered a case on the request of Government and further notification from the Government of India.

took over the investigation of the case which was earlier registered on September 8 at Police Station Bhondsi, Gurugram under Section 302 of Indian Penal Code (IPC), 25 of Arms Act, 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and 75 of Juvenile Justice (J.J.) Act r/w Section 34 of IPC.

The body of seven-year-old Pradyuman was found with his throat slit in the Ryan International School, Gurugram on September 8.

He was allegedly killed by the bus conductor.
