CM inaugurates hospital buildings

CHENNAI: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami inaugurated various centres and hospital buildings constructed at the cost of `8.60 crore through video-conferencing from the Secretariat on Friday.

According to an official press release, he inaugurated the maternity ward building with Neonatal Intensive Critical Care Units (NICCU) constructed at a cost of `2.75 crore at Mettupalayam GH in Coimbatore district. 

He also inaugurated the in-patient building with 30-bed facility constructed at a cost of `80 lakh at Kalasapakkam GH in Tiruvannamalai district, and two upgraded Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in The Nilgiris and Tirunelveli districts.

The CM also declared open five PHCs - one in Tirunelveli district and two each in Dharmapuri and Villupuram districts. Health Minister C Vijaya Baskar, Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan and Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan were among those present on the occasion.
