The State government has announced a 2% hike in the dearness allowance for its employees ahead of Dasara. The employees would be paid DA of 24.104 % compared to 22.008 % and the order would come into effect retrospectively from January 1 this year. Likewise, DA in respect of government employees drawing revised UGC scales and judicial officers would be hiked from 132 % to 136 %. In addition, there would be ad-hoc increase of ₹ 100 per month in cash to part time assistants and village revenue assistants. The revised DA would be paid in cash with the salary of September while the arrears due from January 1 to August 31 would be credited into the general provident fund account of the respective employees.
