Ujjain : UDA’s housing fair to focus on unsold residential units

Ujjain : Following a meeting with bank officials, Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC),housing board and Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI), CEO of Ujjain Development Authority, Abhishek Dubey has informed that UDA’s housing fair (awaas mela) will be held on October 7 and 8.

 All government, private and other organizations that provide home loans will participate in the fair to be held at UDA premises. UMC, housing board and CREDAI have been made partners of the event. All officials have stressed on selling of previously constructed unsold residential units at the event.

 Mahesh Kanadi presented an account of CREDAI owned properties. UMC‘s Piyush Bhargava informed officials about housing units in Panwasa and Neelganga multistorey buildings, while Abhishek Dubey gave details of properties in Kshipra Vihar, Triveni Vihar, Vasant Vihar and Bhargava Nagar.


Project manager Bhavishya Khobragade and Dubey insisted that banks give loans on priority basis to people working in unorganised sectors, like rickshaw pullers, auto-rickshaw drivers and those working at petrol pumps amongst others. Also, easy finance options must be provided so that more and more people could own houses. Officials of HDFC bank, Bank of India, and ICICI bank gave assurance of their cooperation.
