On vacation, your first inclination may be to unplug. But some tech accessories can make your travels even more enjoyable. Whether you are headed out for a beach vacation or a city escape, these gadgets will help you get the most out of your adventure. With World Tourism Day being celebrated on September 27, let’s din in some gadgets for a techie traveller.
DJI Phantom Drone Backpack
Keep your drone safe via transit with the DJI Phantom Drone Backpack. This multifunctional bag has a four-in-one design to see you through any travel. Coming in all black, the Phantom Backpack features a stunning ABS and PC shell with a nylon surface. This produces a sleek and minimalist design to conceal the value of the goods inside. The interior uses DTY twill PU along with compartmentalized storage to hold your device and accessories. In addition, the sides of the Phantom Backpack have ultra slim yet highly accessible pockets. Within these pockets are further pockets with zippers to stash your valuables. The Phantom Backpack is compatible with laptops up to 15 inches as well as all DJI Phantom series drones.
blo Wearable Micro Cooling Device
Stay cool even in hot weather when you have the blo Wearable Micro Cooling Device. Attaching to your clothing or gear, this small and mighty device can cool you down 6 degrees in only two minutes. The blo Cooling Device has a large honeycomb opening on one end to draw in air quickly and efficiently. The other end has a sleek output where it delivers cool air. You can choose between the Low, Regular, or Turbo settings to cool down as quickly as possible. The built-in clip makes it easy to attach blo to your shirt, pants, or even a stroller for your little one. In addition to cool air, you can also add essential oils to help you relax and feel your best. Some essential oils have additional benefits such as repelling mosquitos.
Yolk Solar Paper Lightweight Solar Charger
Introducing the Yolk Solar Paper, the world’s thinnest lightweight solar charger. Looking just like a small booklet, this system lets you top up on the go. Simply hang the Solar Paper Charger or set it in the sun. Absorbing energy from the sun, the device delivers power through the built-in USB port. The Solar Paper Charger consists of two panels; the main panel and the sub panel. The device can fully recharge your iPhone 6 in only 2.5 hours while absorbing energy. Incredibly, the Solar Panel Charger is expandable. You can easily add extra panels as you see fit. At its smallest, the Solar Paper Charger easily stashes in your bag or even your pocket. Because it comes with a hanging mechanism, you can attach it to your backpack while you hike or even a tree while you set up camp.
Narrative Wearable Clip Camera
Relive your life’s best moments with Narrative, the wearable clip camera. Easily attaching to your clothing or gear and equipped with a two-day battery life, this compact and inconspicuous camera will record all the moments from your day with photos. Narrative has enough built-in storage for an incredible 6000 images so you can capture candid moments at every turn. Perfect for a birthday party, a night out, or an outdoor adventure, Narrative saves you from having to hold a DSLR or even a compact camera. Additionally, Narrative isn’t as intrusive as a camera. A large lens won’t bombard those around you yet you’ll still capture beautiful moments throughout your day. Simple to use and lightweight, Narrative organizes your photos on an app so you can save and share with ease.
Word Lens
Google’s Word Lens is an app that will translate any text from one language to another, or at least try to. You’ll don’t even need an internet connection, so it’s just a case of waving it in the general direction of the road sign, menu or public toilet graffiti that you’re trying to read.
Inflatable Bubble Tent
This space age igloo fortunately includes a blower to pump it up, and the more luxurious models can even be setup with heaters, electric lighting, shelves, wardrobes, beanbags, beds and more. Its French creators say that it’s designed to allow campers to get closer to nature – slightly odd, considering it’s a hermetically sealed bubble with its own airlock – but it certainly looks like the most comfortable way to legitimately sleep under the stars.
Snapchat Spectacles
Snapchat Spectacles will let you record up to 30 seconds of hands-free video. They are excellent for two purposes on holiday: one, making friends at home jealous with point-of-view supercuts of how lit your trip is, and two, stopping the sun getting in your eyes. Just beware – they won’t survive a drop in the pool quite as well as a pair of Ray-Bans.
