Bhoomi box office collection day 1: Bhoomi is surely doing a good business riding solely on Sanjay Dutt’s shoulder. The action revenge drama that Bhoomi is, unfolds the bonding of a father and daughter whose lives turn upside down after the girl is raped. Bhoomi marked Sanjay’s much-awaited comeback after his absence from the silver screen for a span of almost 3 years. Bhoomi is an amalgamation of modern day thinking and stereotypes.according to Bollywood Hungama has released across 1894 screens with 5627 shows and was leading the pack of movies that released on Friday by a steady margin of 15%. Bhoomi has minted Rs 2.25 cr on the opening day of the movie, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh. This is what Adarsh tweeted, ” Bhoomi Fri ₹ 2.25 cr. India biz.”
Bhoomi was the centre of a lot of expectations since it was Sanjay Dutt on the celluloid after long gap. Besides Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari essays the victim’s role well and her performance will be well received by fans. Sharad Kelkar is a badass villain; you will dread each time he appears on the screen. Newcomer Sidhant Gupta as Hydari’s love interest gets little scope but delivers a fair performance but nothing great. The film showcases Sanjay Dutt in a titular role in the movie and despite being running on the conventional line of a father and daughter tale, there is nothing unconventional about it. Kumar who has been associated with movies like Mary Kom failed to create th needful impact. Instead, the movie rarely gives you feel good moments since it is heavily decked up with violent and gory scenes where you nearly cringe.
