The Kerala Students Union (KSU) will approach the High Court against the stance of the Kerala University with regard to concluding the undergraduate admission process, allegedly, with undue haste.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, KSU president K.M. Abhijith said the university of Kerala had concluded the admission process for the 2017-18 academic year when the admissions to medical and nursing courses were under way in the State.
While around 2,500 government, aided, self-financing, IHRD, and newly sanctioned seats remained vacant, the ‘anti-student’ stance of the Kerala University had denied opportunity to many students to gain admission. The student organisation has demanded that the admission process be extended until September 30 by ensuring priority for government and aided college seats.
The KSU has also urged the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau to probe into the allegations of corruption that have been raised against a Senate member, the statement issued added
