The Guntur Urban Police claimed to have achieved a breakthrough in the sensational job racket case, which claimed the lives of two persons — a woman and her father. More than 60 people have fallen victims to the fraud. The main accused, Talasila Kishore, who allegedly swindled crores of rupees, is still at large. The police said that they would appeal for the deportation of the accused.
Superintendent of Police, Guntur Urban, Ch. Vijaya Rao said that Inturi Sireesha, 23 years and Vajja Suryanarayana, 59 years, committed suicide allegedly unable to bear the stress of paying their debts. While Sireesha committed suicide by hanging herself with a sari on September 18, her father consumed poison.
Sireesha, a postgraduate, went to Australia for further studies but returned due to financial difficulties. She was married to Umamaheswara Rao and the couple have a son. Sireesha came in contact with her distant relative, Talasila Kishore, and the latter told her that he was going to start a restaurant in Italy and allegedly took ₹20 lakh from her. Sireesha borrowed the money from Yenduri Umamaheswara Rao.
Later, Kishore left the country and told Sireesha that his hotel was registered as Way Farer Hotel which would require 200 workers from India, and asked her to recruit cooks and hotel staff. Sireesha then contacted her friend C. Ramesh and they began collecting deposits of ₹2 lakh from each from those interested to work. Meanwhile, Kishore sent Visas to Guntur.
Sireesha along with the group began preparations to go to Italy. They left Hyderabad on September 15 but were arrested by security personnel the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi on charges of possessing fake Visas.
Mr. Vijaya Rao said that the police would soon arrest Kishore and bring him back to India.
