Flipkart's Big Billion Days sale will happen until September 24 and a number of products are available at special discounts and offers. Those who are buying smartphones this festive season have a lot of benefits on choosing Flipkart for the purchase during the sale.
Flipkart has not stated that the offers were attractive enough for the consumers that they have managed to sell 1.3 million smartphones in just 20 hours of the commencement of the sale. Last year, the platform sold just 50% of this number during the Big Billion Days sale during the same timeframe. Flipkart has also claimed that the number sold during this sale is three times that of the nearest rival.
The online retailer says that they have created a record with the 1.3 million units of smartphone sales in less than a day. It is claimed that they were able to create the record by luring buyers with several affordable schemes. According to the company, 1 in 4 consumers buying a premium smartphone opted for the Flipkart's Buyback Guarantee program.
Also, over 80% of the total sales have been recorded in the premium smartphone segment as there were offers such as Buyback Guarantee, Exchange, and No Cost EMI. In addition to the discounts, the retailer is also offering special discounts such as 10% instant discount up to Rs. 4,500 on SBI credit and debit cards, up to 60GB 4G data from Reliance Jio, etc.
The Big Billion Days sale debuted on September 20 and goes on until September 24. Several high-end smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S7, Apple iPhone 7, Asus ZenFone AR and Google Pixel are available at a significant discount during this sale. Also, there are mid-range and budget offerings such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Mi Max 2 available at lesser pricing this time. Apart from smartphones, the retailer is offering discounts on a slew of other products such as TVs, power banks, laptops, accessories, etc.
