Wizz Air today started operating from Bordeaux Airport. The first WIZZ flight arrived from Budapest with 161 passengers on board. Wizz Air’s newest service connects Bordeaux with the Hungarian capital two times a week, on Mondays and Fridays, providing customers with a convenient schedule for weekend getaways. Seats on the route can be booked on wizzair.com with fares starting from as low as EUR 29.99*.
Besides Budapest, WIZZ will launch low-fare flights from Bordeaux to another dynamic capital, Warsaw as well. Commencing next March, this route will also operate twice a week.
Wizz Air expects its low-fares to attract an increasing number of visitors to southwestern France, while providing French customers with affordable and direct access to two of the most rapidly developing cities of Central and Eastern Europe, which are also known for their rich cultural heritage.
Wizz Air’s first French flight took off from Paris Beauvais in 2004 and since then, more than 5.5 million passengers travelled with the airline to and from France. In 2017 WIZZ has over one million seats on sale on its French routes, 13% more than in 2016.
Following the strong and constant development of its network, Wizz Air now connects its five French airports with 30 destinations across eight countries.
