Filmmaker-choreographer Remo D'Souza, while shooting for the finale of Dance Plus, took everyone by surprise with an announcement. D'Souza, who is the head judge of the dance reality show, revealed that Varun Dhawan will play the leading role in in the next part of ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. Promoting his upcoming film Judwaa 2, Dhawan was also present on stage along with Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez.
According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the three actors landed in Mumbai after finishing their Kolkata promotional schedule and headed straight to the show from the airport.
They danced to three numbers from their film — 'Oonchi Hai Building', 'Tan Tana Tan' and 'Aa To Sahi' — after which D'Souza, made the announcement. Host Raghav Juyal, coaches Dharmesh Yelande and Punit Pathak, who have been a part of the franchise in the past, will again play pivotal roles in the upcoming sequence.
The previous installment of the dance film had seen Shraddha Kapoor and Dhawan in leading roles. Although the Dhishoom actor is collaborating for the director for the second time, details about the female lead remain unknown.
Directed by David Dhawan, Judwaa 2 is all set for a 29 September release.
