Cops yet to arrest 'godman' accused of rape

The Alwar Police are yet to arrest self-styled godman Falahari Maharaj who is accused of raping a 21-year-old law student.
The woman recorded her statement again on Friday and the police made maps of the ashram in Alwar where she was raped.
The victim, from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, arrived in Alwar along with her parents on Thursday and she was later interrogated by the police.
Alwar SP Rahul Prakash said, “There are no contradictions in the statement that were initially recorded.”
The police are yet to arrest Falahari who is in a hospital since Wednesday, despite the hospital administration repeatedly saying that he is ready to be discharged.
On Friday, Falahari was shifted to the general ward.
The case was registered in Bilaspur on September 11 and the files were brought to Alwar on September 20.
