CBI books IRS officer, MLA husband over corruption charges

The has registered a case against an Indian Officer and her husband for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 1.1 crore which was 22 per cent over their net

The FIR has alleged that T H Vijaya Lakshmi, an IRS officer and Commissioner for and Puducherry, and her husband A Suresh, a YSR from Santhanuthalapadu, Andhra Pradesh, have accumulated assets to the tune of Rs 5.95 crore against an of Rs 4.84 crore between the period April 1, 2010, and February 29, 2016.


The couple has amassed disproportionate assets to the tune of Rs 1.11 crore which is 22.86 per cent over and above the earned by them which they cannot satisfactorily account for, the FIR alleged.

The agency has booked the couple under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
