Delhi rains: Big relief for citizens, showers bring respite from hot, humid weather, temperature plummets

Delhi woke up today to a cloudy morning that brought with it much-needed relief, that the people were wishing for. After going through sweltering heat for quite a few days at a stretch now, the temperature in the city after the rains today finally fell down to 26.5 degrees Celsius. According to Indian Express, the humidity level in the city was recorded at 78 per cent earlier in the day. The official from the New Delhi MeT earlier in the day had said, "the skies will remain partly cloudy throughout the day. There is a possibility of rains later in the day. The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 30 degree Celsius." (Express Photo)
