Alexandria area dental patients now have the option to treat their gum disease with the only regenerative laser treatment option -- FDA cleared to re-grow lost bone -- that is less invasive than traditional surgery.
Alexandria, VA (PRWEB) September 22, 2017
Precision Periodontics and Implant Dentistry's Dr. Michael Hoge joins his colleague Dr. Justin Zalewsky in offering LANAP® and LAPIP™ laser treatments. Drs. Hoge and Zalewsky are members of an elite class of dental professionals offering FDA-cleared True Regeneration™ to patients, a minimally invasive and less painful option that produces real results.
"Like many of my colleagues, I was initially skeptical about the notion of treating periodontitis using a flapless approach," said Dr. Hoge. "However, having seen the clinical and radiographic treatment results achieved using the LANAP protocol by my colleague Dr. Zalewsky, I have developed a profound appreciation for its ability to facilitate results consistent with regeneration, all while using a minimally invasive surgical treatment method."
LANAP treatment targets the bacteria and endotoxins causing gum disease in a minimally invasive manner, without harming healthy tissue. The recovery time is much quicker and patients report less pain when compared to traditional surgery. The LANAP protocol is also the only treatment of its kind FDA cleared to regenerate the bone and tissues lost to gum disease.
"I spent a lot of time in dental school researching the systemic connections between oral health and overall health," continued Dr. Hoge. "Getting patients to understand that treating their gum disease can play a role in reducing their risk for other serious illnesses is a critical goal of our practice. With the LANAP protocol, patients are much more open to being treated because they know it will be less invasive and less painful that traditional surgery."
