British police have released two men detained in connection with last week's London commuter train bombing. One, a 21-year-old, was originally arrested in a west London suburb. The other, 48, was one of several arrested in Wales. Police have not publicly named any of those they've arrested as the investigation continues, but its known four others remain in custody and several properties are still being searched. Thirty people were injured in the botched attack, where the bomb malfunctioned during detonation. But it was the fifth major incident in Britain this year. And the National Police Chief's Council now says that the strain of vigilance for local authorities has become "not sustainable." Warning in a written statement that efforts were diverting resources from already-stretched services. They say it's created backlogs at precincts and slowing response times, as the bulk of officers involved in the efforts are just regular cops with other duties. Britain's government has increased its overall budget for countering militants, but the money earmarked for police has been cut by seven percent, according to the Council.
