Two BJP corporators were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while accepting bribe of Rs 3 lakh at a hotel in Rajasthan's Pali district today.
Mukesh Kumar and Kesa Ram had demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from Takhatgarh municipality chairman Ranjna Kumari to not bring a motion of no confidence in the board, DSP (ACB), Jalore, Aan Raj Purohit told PTI.
We received a complaint from Kumari's husband in this regard, he said, adding that the duo was arrested while accepting the bribe.
Purohit said that both the corporators had demanded Rs 1.50 lakh each and had asked the complainant to come to the hotel on Jalore-Takhatgarh highway with the money.
The duo had allegedly demanded bribe from the complainant earlier also, which is being investigated.
