Kolu at Srirangam temple starts from today

The exhibits will have 35 segments

A massive ‘kolu’ will open at the Thousand Pillar Mandapam of the Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple on Thursday as part of the Navarathri festival.

The kolu on the topic, ‘Bakthiyum Mukthiyum Sriman Narayananae,’ will feature 35 segments, according to a press release from the temple authorities.

The kolu, designed and developed by the group, ‘Mayilai Kalai Moovar,’ seeks to provide an overview of Vaishnavism for the benefit of public, especially youngstersm.

The kolu will be open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. A photo exhibition on the temple will also be set up in the mandapam.
