Kishore Reddy on a hectic campaign in western mandals of Chittoor district

Nallari Kishore Kumar Reddy, brother of the former Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, is engaged in a hectic campaign seeking “political suggestions” from the public the western mandals of the district since a couple of days.

Mr. Kishore Reddy, who lost to the YSR Congress Party candidate in Piler Assembly constituency in the 2014 elections, is meeting villagers, mostly supporters, at their respective hamlets and explaining to them the circumstances which forced the Nallari brothers to launch the Jai Samaikhyandra Party, and the necessity for their re-entry into active politics “in the interest of the State and Piler Assembly constituency in particular”. Mr. Kishore Reddy's words drew the attention of the public as he claimed that the tour was being conducted on the directions of Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, and that both would sail in the same boat, whichever party it could be.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Mr. Kishore Reddy toured Marripadu, Ramapuram, Tarigonda, T. Rachapalle and Settivaripalle villages of Gurramkonda mandal. A majority of the family’s followers wanted the Nallari brothers to join the Telugu Desam Party. However, some felt that it would be better for the brothers to join the YSR Congress Party, but considering the rivalry between the Nallari family and that of Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy (YSRCP Punganur MLA), there was not much pressure on them in this regard. Regarded as a one-side development, most of his supporters maintain that the Mr. Kishore Reddy’s tour is just a formality before joining the Telugu Desam Party.

During his interaction with his supporters,. Mr Kishore Reddy would make it clear that it is essential for the brothers to resume active political life and to choose the right option, without which the development of the constituency would be in jeopardy.

Launched as a silent programme, the Nallari brothers’ strategy is expected to bring new developments in the political dynamics of the caste-dominant politics of Chittoor district.
