Bored BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj makes lame statement about sex to make headlines

BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj is bored and missed seeing himself in the eye of a controversy. The last one he stirred by supporting rapist Gurmeet Singh, who was convicted to 20 years in prison for raping two women in 2002, is now almost a month old.

Navratri has begun but BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh's Unnao constituency is bored.

From all the statements he has made in the past, it is safe to assume that when FOMO (fear of missing out) hits the man, he reclaims attention by making lame statements about sex, rape or rapists.

Talking to media yesterday, Sakshi Maharaj said that couples who indulge in 'vulgar behaviour', read being physically affectionate, in public places leads to rape.

"When these couples ride a motorcycle, they hug each other as if the girl will eat the boy or the boy will eat the girl," Sakshi Maharaj said.

Shy to use the words sex or make out, but not one bit embarrassed to make such statements, Sakshi Maharaj said, "Couples behave in a 'vulgar fashion' in cars, parks and other places. People demand action against the police when rape happens, but the right thing is to take action against such couples and put them behind bars".

By the way, Sakshi Maharaj, who could be seen taking a 'moral high ground with sanskaar as its base' has been accused of at least two rapes and two murders.

EARLIER CONTROVERSIES

The last statement he made was in support of rapist and Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insaan, who was convicted of raping two of his women followers in 2002, and sentenced to prison for two decades by a special CBI court.

Sakshi Maharaj had said that the court decided to convict Gurmeet Singh on the basis of one person's complaint and was of the opinion that court should see that "millions of devotees are standing in support of him and should believe them instead of the complainant".

Unfortunately, that's not how judiciary works.

Sakshi Maharaj also said, "The judiciary will also be held responsible if the law and order situation goes out of control owing to conviction of Dera Chief." Realising he made a mistake by supporting a rapist in public, Maharaj made a U-turn on his statement the next day and accused the media of misquoting him. To set records straight, here is the statement he made -

In 2015, Sakshi Maharaj urged Hindu women to produce at least 4 children to protect the Hindu religion. He even took a dig at the Muslim community saying "The concept of four wives and forty children just won't work in India".

Same year, he told PTI, "The temple was there and will exist forever. No person will be allowed to keep even a brick in the name of Babri mosque", and a few days later, he said, "I'm a true Muslim, Prophet Mohammed was a great 'yogi'".

In 2015, talking about the Dadri lynching case and the ex-gratia that was raised from 10 lakh rupees to 20 lakh rupees, Sakshi Maharaj said "This is done on the basis of appeasement. When a Muslim dies they will give 20 lakhs and when a Hindu dies he won't even get 20,000."

Maharaj also said, "We won't remain silent if somebody tries to kill our mother. We are ready to kill and get killed."
