Number of foreign tourists visiting Odisha has increased

The number of foreign tourists visiting has grown substantially and state tourism would participate in the Global Travel Mart to be held in London, and

Tourism and Culture minister Ashok Chandra Panda said the number of foreign tourist footfalls to the state has grown substantially as a result of promotional initiatives and Tourism.


Tourism will take all possible measures to attract more tourists as well as to develop tourism infrastructure, he said while addressing a Road Show organised in Mumbai, an official statement said adding that the Tourism would also participate Road shows in all the major cities of the country to woo tourists.

The Road Show organised in collaboration with (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) attracted a large number of viewers who later on took part in questionnaire.

Nitin B Jawale, Director and Additional Secretary, Tourism, in a power point presentation showed Odisha's tourism potential along with Government's interventions for infrastructural development in tourism sector.

This apart, the Tourism department has decided to organise Travel Bazaar in Bhubaneswar in October to market the state's tourism potentials among the tour operators.
