BJP general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya today took over as the president of the Indore Divisional Cricket Association (IDCA).
After taking over as president, Vijayvargiya announced the new executive body of the organisation, a media release by IDCA said.
In the new executive, Sanjay Lunawat has been appointed as the Chairman of IDCA, while Amitabh Vijayvargiya is made the Secretary. Chandurao Shinde, CS Bhati and Narendra Rathore would be vice-chairmen of IDCA, it said.
The tenure of new executive would be two years.
Sources said that Vijayvargiya had earlier refused to take the charge as IDCA president this time citing his busy political schedule.
But he subsequently agreed on the requests of the officials and agreed to take over as IDCA president, they added.
Vijayvargiya was elected as the IDCA president in the organisation's annual general meeting held on August 27.
