Kiran Patel, owner of Advance Dyestuff Industries, located at Vatva GIDC here, was arrested along with the company's supervisor, Parth Saha, yesterday. Both of them were remanded in police custody till September 25 by a court today, Vatva GIDC police inspector, D R Gohil, said.
The duo has been booked under IPC sections 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), 284 (negligence with respect to poisonous substances), and 114 (abettor present when offence is committed), Gohil said.

While four labourers had died due to asphyxiation after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning a chemical effluent tank at the factory on Monday, two more workers died yesterday in the hospital, taking the toll to six.
Two more labourers are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The factory manufactures dyes and intermediates. It was shut for maintenance when the accident took place.
Following the incident, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) issued a closure notice to the factory and the Gujarat Pollution Control Board also inspected the premises and prepared a report on it.
