Ambica Krishna says fight is only against the writer

Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation Chairman P.V.V.P. Krishna Rao aka Ambica Krishna on Tuesday flayed writer Kancha Ilaiah for trying to bring in disparities among people of different communities.

Mr. Krishna visited the venue of the indefinite hunger strike campaign by T. Srinivasulu, D. Rakesh and P. Ram Kumar at Vastralatha in One-Town seeking an apology from Mr. Ilaiah for his book against Vysya community. The camp is supported by Arya Vysya JAC and other Arya Vysya organisations.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Krishna said, “Ilaiah is like a weed in the crop and came up with unnecessary content to create tension in the society where people of all religions and communities are joining together during festivals irrespective of their personal affiliations,” he said. “Is Ilaiah unable to see all this in the society?” Mr. Ambica Krishna questioned and said, “Since 15 days none of us attacked you. Today CM N. Chandrababu Naidu asked the police to book him. Vysyas of Telugu States are hurt due to your book and will break your legs if you step into A.P.”

Mr. Krishna said that the fight is only against Ilaiah and not Dalits from whom Ilaiah is expecting support. We are always friendly with Dalits, he said. The hunger strike will continue till Ilaiah tenders a public apology to the Vysya community.
