The jailed head of the Rs 1,100-crore empire called Dera Sachcha Sauda, Gurmeet Ram Rahim, will now toil eight hours every day to earn a measly Rs 20. The dera chief is serving time in Rohtak's Sunaria jail after being convicted for raping two disciples almost 18 years ago.

Godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been brought to his knees, literally, as his tasks now include pruning trees and cultivating a 500-600 yard patch of land inside Rohtak's Sunaria prison.

The vegetables grown by him will not be sold outside but, cooked in the jail mess after a thorough inspection.

Dera Sacha Sauda chief's many 'talents' like acting and singing among others failed to qualify him as a skilled worker, (which could earn him more wages in prison) thereby pushing him in to the category of an unskilled worker.

NO FEMALE PRISON EMPLOYEE TO TEND GURMEET'S CELL

Sources in the Sunaria prison revealed that Gurmeet Ram Rahim gets no VIP treatment and lives in a  cell like all others. A vacant room without a bed.

Used to living an opulent lifestyle, prison rules are no less than a shock-treatment to the Dera chief, whose advocate recently transferred Rs 5000 in his account for day-to-day expenditure.

The prison authorities refused to divulge any update on Gurmeet's health. India Today had earlier reported that Gurmeet Ram Rahim is a sex addict who developed withdrawal symptoms in jail.

However, jail sources tell us that no female employee of the prison is allowed access to Gurmeet Ram Rahim's cell.

ON HONEYPREET

Speaking to India Today, DGP Jail KP Singh said that even though only blood relatives are allowed to visit inmates in the prison, Gurmeet has submitted Honeypreet's name and number for the log.

"He has not specifically asked to speak to her (Honeypreet)," added the DGP.

Out of the list of 10 people whom Gurmeet wanted to meet, only one person's details could be verified- his mother Naseeb Kaur's.

On her maiden visit to her son in the Sunaria jail, Naseeb Kaur carried two religious books, a pair of slippers and some clothes for Gurmeet.

PAPA'S ANGEL STILL AT LARGE

Meanwhile, latest reports on the whereabouts of Gurmeet Ram Rahim's confidante and companion Honeypreet reveal that she was spotted in Nepal's Mahendranagar last week. Mahendranagar is located just 5 km from the Indian border.

Sources within the Haryana Police say that the absconding 'angel' of rape convict Ram Rahim was seen roaming in a vehicle bearing Nepal registration with three other people on Sunday.

The same report mentions that Honeypreet may have changed her look to deceive the police and other probing teams.
