Refined soya oil futures soften 0.34 pc on muted demand

Press Trust of India  |  New Delhi

Refined soya prices eased by 0.34 per cent to Rs 669.90 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions, taking negative cues from spot market on subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya for delivery in October fell by Rs 2.30, or 0.34 per cent, to Rs 669.90 per 10 kg with an open interest of 49,880 lots.

Likewise, the for delivery in September traded marginally lower by 5 paise, or 0.01 per cent, to Rs 666.45 per 10 kg in 4,770 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by traders owing to slackened demand in spot market against sufficient stocks position, mainly led to the decline in refined soya prices at futures trade.
