Pop icon Lady Gaga has postponed her world tour's European leg until next year due to "trauma and chronic pain".
The 31-year-old musician's six-week part of the Joanne World Tour was set to kick off in Barcelona on September 21 and finish on October 28 in Germany.
In a lengthy note on Instagram, Gaga said that she has always been honest about her problems and is disappointed to see that people think she is playing the "victim" card to avoid touring.
"I have always been honest about my physical and mental health struggles. Searching for years to get to the bottom of them. It is complicated and difficult to explain, and we are trying to figure it out...
"I use the word 'suffer' not for pity, or attention, and have been disappointed to see people online suggest that I'm being dramatic, making this up, or playing the victim to get out of touring. If you knew me, you would know this couldn't be further from the truth. I'm a fighter," wrote the "Poker Face" hitmaker.
Gaga also said she needs to focus more on her health today as it is keeping her from performing for her fans.
"I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more," she added.
In another post, the singer confirmed, in a release, that the second leg of the North American part of the tour is scheduled to resume in November as planned.
The new dates for the European leg have not been confirmed yet.
Gaga was recently hospitalised days after revealing that she has fibromyalgia and also cancelled her performance at the Rock In Rio festival.
