The Karungal police have arrested four youths for abducting and sexually assaulting a teen.
Police said the 15-year-old girl student from a village near Karungal in Kanniyakumari district went missing on September 9 and the police were on the lookout for the girl after her mother filed a complaint with the Karungal police.
Against this backdrop, the police rescued the girl on Sunday. During investigation, the police found that more than 10 persons had sexually assaulted her after her boyfriend took her to Colachel and Kerala.
The police subsequently arrested Danny Prasad (25) and Shajan (24) of Colachel, Babu (21) of Kurumbanai and Jagrun (20) of Assam, who was working in a lodge at Colachel, on Sunday. The hunt is on to nab a few more.
The victim was admitted to Government Medical College Hospital at Aasaaripallam for medical examination.
