Anganwadi workers to protest on Sep 22

Anganawadi workers will hold demonstrations in front of the deputy commissioners’ offices in all districts in the state on September 22, against increased work pressure on them because of the Mathrpoorna scheme.

B Nagarathnamma , secretary of Karnataka State Anganwadi Workers’ Association, said it is difficult for them to reach the true beneficiaries of the scheme. The scheme provides for supply of food to pregnant and lactating women.
