In a major development, the chairperson of Dera Management Committee, Vipassna has gone into hiding fearing arrest by police. On the other hand, Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim has given his nod for appointment of his son Jasmeet as the caretaker of his sect.

Vipassana is considered the third most powerful person in the Dera Sacha Sauda after Gurmeet Ram Rahim and Honeypreet.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim has been sentenced to jail for 20 years after he was convicted of sexual exploitation and rape of two sadhvis in his Dera in 2002. Honeypreet is missing ever since Ram Rahim was shifted to jail and police foiled an escape plot for convicted Dera chief in August.

Another powerful aide of Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Aditya Insaan has also gone into hiding after Gurmeet Ram Rahim was held guilty of raping two of her disciples at his private chamber at the Dera headquarters at Sirsa.

VIPASSANA IN HIDING

According to the Dera sources, Vipassana was last seen on Friday at the headquarters of Ram Rahim's sect at Sirsa. Top Dera sources told India Today that she had left for Gursar Modia in Ganganagar district of Rajasthan.

Vipassana apparently left for Ganganagar, the home district of Gurmeet Ram Rahim, to handover some important documents to Jasmeet, the son of convicted Dera chief. Vipassana feared being arrested by police, the sources indicated.

The fact that she did not return to Dera headquarters in Sirsa and had kept her phone switched off has given rise to speculations in the Dera headquarters that Vipassana went underground after leaving the sect's premises.

Vipassana was facing a police arrest in connection with missing of Aditya and Honeypreet. Police believe that she has knowledge about the Honeypreet and Aditya. Vipassana can reveal many things about the wrongdoings of Gurmeet Ram Rahim if police succeed to arrest her.

JASMEET TO BE DERA CARETAKER

Top Dera sources have confirmed to India Today that Jasmeet will be the care taker of Dera Sacha Sauda. Naseeb Kaur, Gurmeet's mother who had met him in Sunaria Jail on Thursday had got his nod to appoint Jasmeet as caretaker.

"Gurmeet Ram Rahim has given his permission to appoint Jasmeet as the caretaker of Dera. He has also named Gurdas Singh Salwara as second care taker," a source said.

Gurdas Singh Salwara is former deputy advocate general of Haryana and relative of Gurmeet Ram Rahim. He is the same person who was sacked for carrying the bag of Gurmeet Ram Rahim on August 25 - the day he was convicted of sexual exploitation and rape.

POLICE ARREST 3 PANCHKULA RIOTERS

Meanwhile, Haryana police have arrested three persons suspected to have been involved in the riots at Panchkula after Gurmeet Ram Rahim was held guilty by the CBI special court in the 15-year-old case.

Those arrested include Prakash Insan alias Vicky, a close aide of Dera Sacha Sauda Spokesperson, Aditya Insan, booked on the charges of sedition. Prakash along with others is accused of inciting violence in Panchkula.

A close relative of Aditya Insan, Parkash has been arrested from Mohali in Punjab. According to the FIR, Parkash was seen with Aditya Insan on August 25.

The SIT formed to investigate the violence has also arrested another Dera aide Pradeep Goyal from Udaipur, Rajasthan. He is in-charge of  Dera's Jaipur unit. Sources said he has given important leads about Honeypreet Insan, who, police suspect, may be hiding in Nepal.

The police have also picked up one Vijay from Pinjore, Panchkula  in Haryana for questioning. The police have arrested five Dera aides, so far, on charges of inciting violence. Acting on the leads provided by the Dera aides, the police have conducted raids at various places. Police teams have also been sent to Rajasthan where location of two other suspects has been traced.
