A Class IX student was allegedly abducted and murdered in a village here, the police said on Friday.
Her body was found in a field at Kalcheena village on Thursday night and a case was registered at Modi Nagar police station. The police are yet to rule out the possibility of rape.
She had gone missing on September 4. Her parents had accused the neighbours of abducting her while she was on her way to school. The accused have been arrested.
