Minister's son adopts Zoo animals

Dhruv Patil, son of Water Resources Minister M B Patil, has adopted a few animals of the Mysuru Zoo, under the animal adoption scheme for a period of one year.

Patil has adopted an elephant, an Indian leopard, a giraffe, a red billed toucan and an Indian crested porcupine, by paying Rs 2.46 lakh.

While an elephant and Indian leopard has adopted for a period of one year from July 1, 2017 - June 31, 2018, the remaining animals have been adopted from July 7, 2017, to July 5, 2018.

Mysuru Zoo Executive Director C Ravishankar has thanked Patil and his family for their contribution for the animals and the Zoo.
